I'd take 17149! Sometimes a burst can hold you over for a few days. Nothing wrong with that.
I'm working through my analytical thinking. It gets in the way of my creative thinking! It's a big issue for me right now. I did write about 150 words of notes (long-hand) for my WIP even though it doesn't increase the final total of the story....
I think all words count. I'd add them in. I actually have a little bit of an outline at the beginning of mine and I count that as part of the words. Mostly b/c I'm too lazy to do anything other than a total Word Count in Word, but still it does inflate it a bit...
Still holding at 17149. Apparently I had that one big burst b/c it was going to be my only day home alone this week!
