Okay, we're more than one-fifth of the way through the month and cruising.
Question: what do you do when you get stuck in your writing to help you keep going?
My answer: I skip ahead. Literally, I will just write "Tyler has conversation with Grandma. FINISH LATER." and move ahead to a part that I can more easily move through.

Almost 1 am in New York and I am the first commenter?? All settled in and my word total is 6756. Off to bed.
ReplyDeleteYea, about that. The past two days have not been productive in the word count. Although I didn't get words on paper (computer) I did find a direction that I want to go. I had a great discussion with another friend (she's doing this as well).

ReplyDeleteLet's see if this works. Posting Sat. morning for Friday. I'm at 9453 words as of Fri. night--1838 behind my intended schedule. New twists and turns emerging. Settled on names. Had a stuck place where nothing came. Had to take the time to read the whole story from the beginning to figure out where to go. That helped.
